Aaron McDermott to replace Anthony Schlueter on Crown Point Redevelopment Commission
Crown Point, IN | June 14, 2016 | Aaron McDermott was appointed by Mayor Dave Uran to replace the vacant seat left by Anthony Schlueter on the Crown Point Redevelopment Commission. “I’m honored that Mayor Uran selected me for the appointment and look forward to helping Crown Point continue to grow and prosper as one of the great cities in the Chicagoland area” said McDermott.
The Redevelopment Commission is an independent board established to ensure redevelopment in areas in need of reinvestment and underused areas through techniques including real estate acquisition, site preparation and/or providing public infrastructure to the site funded through special benefit taxes that will benefit all taxable property within the boundaries of the City. The Redevelopment Commission meets the 2nd Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers.
Aaron McDermott is the owner and president of Latitude Commercial Real Estate which he founded in 2009. McDermott provides commercial real estate services, such as purchasing, leasing and tenant representation throughout Northwest Indiana and the South Chicago Suburbs. Outside of his real estate responsibilities, Aaron enjoys giving back to the community by serving on the Lake Area United Way board as well as a board member at the Crisis Center.
