Aiden Lerner’s Summer Internship Experience

This summer, I had the opportunity to join Latitude Commercial as a Commercial Real Estate Intern. Throughout my internship, I gained hands-on experience in commercial real estate while learning about the day-to-day work that goes into generating new business and generating leads.

My experience mainly focused on cold outreach. I built outreach lists, verified contact information, identified potential clients, and sent out cold emails to property owners, brokers, and other commercial real estate professionals. This has taught me the importance of persistence, communication, and follow-up when developing new business. Overall, it has helped me become more comfortable reaching out to new people.

I also worked on researching and analyzing commercial properties to clearly understand their value and the factors that make properties valuable. This included the evaluation of trends across the markets, market conditions, and comparison of properties. Through this, I developed a stronger understanding of how location, market conditions, and other factors influence the values and opportunities of commercial real estate.

Overall, my time with Latitude Commercial has been extremely valuable and provided real-world experience that has helped me learn more about the commercial real estate industry. I have especially enjoyed seeing how an initial cold outreach can lead to real business opportunities. I am grateful for Chris Marshall, the Colorado Market Director, and everything I have learned from Latitude Commercial so far. I am excited to continue working with the team and continue to learn and gain more real-world experience.
